Senior Java Developer
Moebius Solutions, Inc. is looking for a Senior Level Java Developer experienced in network streaming, web application, web GIS, data transformation, and video processing. This position will be involved in the development of upcoming technology initiatives. These initiatives will involve developing new technologies for the systems as well as supporting and enhancing current applications. This is an exempt, full-time, W2 position (NOT contracting) that will be directly supporting the Department of Defense; therefore, US citizenship is required (you will have to be able to obtain a DoD clearance).
The selected candidate is required to demonstrate that they have mastered Object-Oriented concepts, be proficient in writing SQL, and have experience on enterprise development frameworks and practices such as Unit Testing and Refactoring environments. The selected Developer needs to be self-motivated and able to plan and execute based on imposed deadlines.
The Developer is also expected to participate in system analysis, design, implementation, documentation and unit and integration testing. This person must have exceptional interpersonal communications skills, be able to provide and receive technical guidance and encouragement / support a collaborative approach to development. The Developer will be required to take ownership of, responsibility for, and provide support on assigned applications.

Essential Attributes for Senior Level Position:
- Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience)
- 5+ years professional Java development
- 3+ years professional Java web application development
- 3+ years professional XSLT development
Desired Attributes:
- JDK 5 (and above)
- Java web based app development (Java Servlets, JSP, JavaBeans, JavaScript & HTML)
- XML Technologies for Java (JAXB, JAXM, SAX, DOM parsers, XML schemas)
- IDEs (Eclipse and/or NetBeans)
- Java Web Services Technology (JAX-WS, JAX-RS associated tools)
- Java Security APIs, general design patterns, best practices and Junit messages
- Linux / UNIX
- Java, SQL, XML, JavaScript / ECMAScript, and XSLT
- RDBMS and SQL, experience with MySQL is a plus
- Java EE app development (w/web tier, data tier, JMS Active MQ & some EJB exp)
- Application servers such as (Oracle Web Logic, Web Sphere, JBOSS, Glassfish)
- ActiveMQ, Web Services JAX-WS, Axis2, CXF / XFIRE, and SOAP
